Friends of Tram 96

Tram 96 has its own lobby group – the Friends of Tram 96.
Metropolitan Transport Forum (MTF) Chair, Cr Jackie Fristacky, and Deputy Chair, Cr Janet Bolitho, launched the group at a meeting on the Bumblebee tram to St Kilda.Route 96 runs through Port Phillip, Melbourne, Yarra and Moreland; these councils are committed to promoting tram use. Tram 96 links key locations including Luna Park, South Melbourne Market, MSAC, Southbank, Museum and Exhibitions Centres, Nicholson Village and CERES.
Friends of Tram 96 invite Melburnians and visitors to ride Tram 96, seeing all that Melbourne has to offer.
Friends of Tram 96 will focus on tourism, tram priority, accessibility, capacity and services to meet growing demand.
